Swell Artist Collective is an open studio and Art Gallery located in Boise's historic downtown. Formed in November of 2015 and managed by artists Julia GreenNoble HardestyKelly Knopp, Stuart Holland, and Victor A. Jimenez, Swell is located on the lower level of the Old Mercantile Building in Boise's BoDo district.

By combining their individual artistic practices and ideas into a common space, the five artists' mission revolves around creating a vibrant studio and gallery environment that is open to the public and intent on helping bolster the community's rapidly-growing arts culture. Swell will be host to both First Thursday and independently organized artistic events while maintaining hours of operation during which people can visit.

Brighteye

Swell Artist Collective’s Chelsi "BrightEye" Benger was born and raised in Loveland, Colorado, where as a young artist she flourished and became eager to develop her talents. With her family, she now resides in Kuna, Idaho and is excited to continue learning and growing in the art community. She spends her time as "BrightEye" creating a variety of works of art such as paintings, custom skateboards & longboards, design work and photography. Art in all forms inspires Brighteye, but her heroes are: Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, Frida Kahlo, Kieth Haring, Banksy, Greg “Craola” Simkins, Drew Brophy, and (of course) Walt Disney and Dr. Seuss. She finds that most of her inspiration comes from the world surrounding her, from within nature and the landscapes that she loves. The majority of her work can be seen on Sibbz longboards and skateboards, KAOS, and art shows around Boise, Idaho. Brighteye is currently freelancing and continues to advance her techniques, striving to make her mark on the industry. www.brighteyeart.com
