Lindsey Loch recalls that it all started when she was a young child, with crayons. She was really good at staying in the lines. Later, when she was a little older, she learned to paint with acrylics and water colors but she felt that she just wasn't very good, and also impatient. It was not until much, much later that she fell in love with lovely, flat gouache paints and ink. These days she has more patience and continues to work in gouache, ink and acrylic. Still staying in the lines but also doing her best to stray and explore.
